Wedding Program Wording Non Denominational

Catching the rainbow (copper matte)

"red fugitive" or whatever you call these latitudes. After leaving several pieces as before, with the guidance of Marta Midaglia think what we achieved, the issue goes to play and risk, or as she says "must try" and so we spent several evenings playing with fire, making smoke and a great time having fun, because if something nice is to try to catch the color before the piece to fill in again and we have to start over. It is a challenge and I assure you will be surprised with the results.

Formula:
89% copper oxide Water, enough to let something very liquid.

When this pseudo prepare glaze, do not have to glaze consistency, add water to make it as dirty water, and we can add a spongy piece with a brush or a sponge or with a torch. Clarified, it is not a glaze.
Preparation: Make a bed of sand on a couple of common bricks or on the ground directly (if they have a place to land to do so) or in any old pan on the sand bed with sawdust to make a nest, not a volcano, a simple and humble nest as the birds and pour a splash of kerosene rather stingy. you can get a tape but adjusted to the size of the piece, let's play resulting in fire and drown the piece. Have ready a pitcher a little bit more of kerosene to fuel the fire (after I explain how)

piece once red-hot (reaching 950 º C approx) out of the oven raku and put on this little nest of sawdust, then going to burn the sawdust will cause flame and the piece will begin to change color, so it is called "catching color," appear pink, blue, red, yellow, are only seconds, as we see coming down the flame will add a chorritito kerosene, but not cause firefighters coming and taking care of burn. immediately fill the room with the can and smother the flames, wait a little while, with proper gloves, lift and see what happens in the piece, thousandths of a second! then we will see that change the color of the piece, quickly plug! uncover and cover again playing to see what colors are, eye, not let the piece from rusting again because otherwise we have black as before, here played by flames and reduction. Allow to cool in the tin covered without anxiety. In a hurry lost several color. The worst thing
can happen is that we have to re-take the piece back in the oven, bring to 950 º C and repeat the process.
Here I give you the photos. It is not raku raku is not nail polish and is otherwise. They say that with time and depending on the glaze used, the colors are fading ... is one year, maybe longer, but worth a try.

Now we have to be a bit more creative and to try to make reservations, guards or whatever in the pieces with this technique. There are other formulas running around on the Internet. Be a matter of taste ...
